Details About the Library
Welcome to the Beat Prediabetes Resource Library!
This library is designed to help you understand how to manage your blood glucose in the best ways possible, while still living the life you want to lead!
How do we do this?
- Learning the science behind each recommendation
- Understanding how to fit the recommendation into your own life
- Adjusting goals and expectations to fit with where you are right now
Let's go through a few of the details to help you understand how to use this library to the best of your ability and how to contact someone in case of any issues, questions, or suggestions.
How to Use This Library
The core lessons in this library are aimed at the most common questions I receive related to the management of blood glucose with prediabetes.
These core lessons are designed to help you get started on your journey to lower your blood glucose.
Additional or updated lessons may be added to this library over time to answer additional commonly asked questions and as new research is published that could provide further guidance for you on your journey.
If the new content is included within the paid portion of the program and you have paid for the program, you will have access at no additional cost during the duration of your purchase.
Any new materials added in supplemental programs are not included in your purchase. These can be purchased for an additional cost.
Lesson Schedule
Course materials are organized into sections. Each section builds upon previous knowledge and helps you transform your lifestyle. This library is designed to be completed in order, with one section per week.
It it recommended to stick to this schedule of one section per week due to the amount of content included in each section and the importance of making slow and steady lifestyle changes over time.
To help you with this, the content is dripped at the pace of one section per week with multiple lessons per section.
What's in each section?
Each section is focused on specific behavior changes. You'll learn about the behaviors and any research that goes along with that subject.
In each section, you'll receive:
- Research-backed education and suggestions for change
- Ideas for small goals to work on that week
- Notes of positivity to help you work on your relationship with food and yourself
- Sample meal plans
- Worksheets or activities designed to help you make lasting changes
This recommended time frame of one lesson per week should provide you with adequate time to understand and apply the material to your own life, via the worksheets and goal development that accompany each lesson.
If you feel that the time between lessons is too short or too long for you, please reach out to Kara Holton via the Facebook group Prediabetes Support Group (Dietitian Hosted) or via email at [email protected].
How Long Do I Have Access to This Library?
You will have access to the free sections of this program as long as they are live on the Teachable platform and access to the paid portion of this program for 12 months (1 year) from the date of purchase.
Outcomes of the Using This Library
The education and experiences you receive as part of this resource library experience are designed to help you manage your blood glucose.
However, there is no specific or guaranteed time frame to experience results. In fact, there are no guaranteed results at all.
Your blood glucose is impacted by many factors, even many that are not addressed in this library.
While the programming in this resource library aims to help you get your blood glucose back into the normal range, there are no guarantees and your success is dependent on the changes you make as well as other factors that you may or may not have control over.
All actions or changes you make as a result of your participation in, or review of, the Beat Prediabetes Resource Library are at your own risk. We recommend you speak with your medical team prior to making any changes related to the programming.
Make sure that you've read and understand the Terms of Service before continuing your use of this program.
Additional Programming
Over time, there may be additional live or recorded educational opportunities available. These may be added at no cost to you or available for additional purchase.
In the future, there may also be additional community aspects available for continued support. These may be included at no cost to you or could be an additional purchase if or when they become available.
